First experience to the the Himalaya's

Finally.......I took for my journey to a long trek.......10 days of complete freedom and to be detached from the world !!!WOW!!! Life has always been always so uncertain that I was sure that the journey wont take but it did finally!
A journey full of first experience.......first experience of travelling in Rajdhani, of being far from home alone for 2 weeks, of trekking in the mountains of himalaya's....being away from your people, from the caress of my mother and mischiefs of brother..I was already to enter a new world for a short period.
Here starts my journey on 14th Aug 2008, Journey starts from Rajdhani after many permutations and combination I learn that I have a confirmed seat to Delhi but i had to travel alone as the whole group was in another boggie. We reach Delhi on 15th Aug and the city is silent......! From Delhi>> Haridwar>> Joshimath>> Govindghat( That's where we start our trek) As my wish was granted....i had the experience of travelling in the cycle rickshaw and the metro.
On 15Aug we reached Haridwar we reached and we had a very tasty dinner at "Hari Om Bhojnalaya" a gujrati food outlet. On 16.08.2008 we start our journey to Joshimath- 10hrs journey by bus...uuuf. Motion sickness was on a peak with all of us, landslides enroute added to the adventure and the scenic beauty which ameliorated every 100mtrs. As for me the motion sickness was making me very ill but finally the 10hrs journey ended at 7 pm wen we reached Hotel Kamet at Joshimath. It was different world altogether with people of mongolian faces, chilling weather but still very lively.
17.08.2008 we start our journey to Ghanghariya the base camp for, a long but a difficult trek precisely for a first timer. Started at 9 a.m. and completed at 7p.m. What a rigorous journey it was but still very memorable and amusing. It tested my patience and my determination to complete the journey. The climate changed every 50 steps.
